1. Scope and responsible person
These terms establish the conditions for using NavDown, an Android download management app with an integrated browser, and these informational pages. The person responsible is Davi Santos da Silva, who uses Studio MWD as a public-facing name.
Read these conditions before using the features. If you disagree, you may stop using and uninstall the app. Use is subject to applicable law, and these conditions do not remove rights guaranteed by law.
Use by minors must comply with legal capacity rules and representation or assistance by their guardians when required, as well as age ratings and restrictions imposed by the websites accessed.
2. Features and requirements
NavDown lets you open websites in tabs, organize bookmarks and history, detect content on compatible websites, start and track downloads, and view supported formats. The app does not host or provide its own media catalog: content is provided by the websites and servers you access.
You need a compatible device and Android version, storage space and a connection for features that use the internet. The private profile requires Android 9 or later. Some features depend on permissions or specific settings.
Formats, authentication, temporary addresses, website changes and restrictions imposed by providers may prevent detection, downloading, resuming or playback. The app does not guarantee compatibility with all websites and files.
3. Permitted use and third-party content
Use NavDown for lawful purposes. You must have the necessary right or permission to access, download, copy, store and use each item of content, respecting copyright, licenses, third-party privacy and the terms of the source service.
A resource being accessible, appearing in the list of detected content or being playable does not mean that copying or distributing it is authorized. A subscription or login does not automatically grant those rights either.
Do not use the app to:
- Copy or distribute content in violation of copyright or other legal restrictions.
- Circumvent DRM, protection mechanisms, access controls or other restrictions without legal authorization.
- Access accounts, personal data or systems without authorization.
- Transmit illegal content, spread malicious files or harm services and users.
Rights to third-party content remain with their respective owners. Using NavDown does not transfer those rights or replace the required permissions.
4. Your responsibilities
- Check the source and safety of files before opening, installing or sharing them.
- Protect your device, website credentials and private profile password.
- Check the destination, size and content of downloads and keep enough space available.
- Consider internet costs, battery use and storage associated with the actions you initiate.
- Keep copies of important regular files, taking the private profile's limitations into account.
Android, the device manufacturer and network conditions may interrupt transfers, especially in the background or when battery saving is enabled. A progress indication or the ability to resume does not guarantee that a file will remain available on the server.
Files in public folders, exports and content opened in external apps are also subject to the permissions and practices of those destinations.
5. Private profile conditions
The private profile uses password-protected access, data separated from the regular profile and a vault for private files. Its downloads are kept in internal storage, protected with encryption and viewed within the app, without file export through this feature.
The profile retains data between sessions. Leaving it, locking access or closing a tab does not delete history, cookies and files. Cookies, cache and other WebView data are kept separate but are not automatically encrypted by the vault password.
Private downloads that have been started may continue after locking, depending on the profile option, which is enabled by default. You can disable this continuation and choose whether notifications should hide file details.
This feature does not provide anonymity, a VPN, IP address concealment or an absolute guarantee of confidentiality. Websites may recognize your accounts and receive the data needed for connections. Security also depends on protecting the device.
The developer cannot recover your password. Deleting or resetting the profile, clearing app data or uninstalling the app removes the associated internal content. Private data is excluded from app backups; keep this limitation in mind before taking these actions.
6. Privacy and external services
The Privacy Policy explains the data used, permissions, storage, backups and your rights. Reading or accepting these terms does not grant blanket consent to data processing.
NavDown requests non-personalized Google AdMob interstitial ads at natural pauses in the normal profile, with a maximum of one per hour and subject to the privacy platform's permission. A ready ad may appear before you enter the private profile, under the same consent and frequency limits. Without a ready ad, entry continues immediately; if an ad appears, entry continues when it closes or fails. These ads do not unlock downloads or require clicks. Interstitials are not requested or displayed on the private profile's access screen or within that profile. NavDown does not provide a switch to disable all advertising. You can manage the regional choices when required, as described in the advertising section of the Privacy Policy; refusing a purpose does not necessarily prevent eligible limited ads.
Advertising content and destinations are supplied by third parties. An ad is not an endorsement or a guarantee from Studio MWD. Check the advertiser's terms and privacy policy before providing information, purchasing or installing anything.
Websites, search engines, optional services and external apps have their own terms and policies. You are responsible for checking those conditions before providing information or using their services. The developer is responsible for activities within their remit under the law.
7. App, trademarks and licenses
Installing and using the app does not transfer ownership of trademarks, visual elements or code. Rights to use, copy, modify and distribute must comply with the licenses applicable to each component.
Third-party libraries and components remain subject to their respective licenses, which can be found in the app's licenses section. These terms do not restrict rights expressly granted by open-source licenses.
8. Availability and liability
The app may receive fixes and updates that change its compatibility or how features work. External services may change or become unavailable. Continuous operation, freedom from failures or permanent compatibility with third-party content cannot be guaranteed.
Risks related to the network, source servers and device must be considered when using the app. This does not exclude the developer's liability for failures attributable to them or remove warranties, remedies or other mandatory rights provided by law, including the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, where applicable.
If you identify a failure, use the contact details below and describe the problem without sending passwords or private content. Information such as the app version, Android version and steps to reproduce the issue can help with support.
9. Ending your use
You may stop using and uninstall the app at any time. Before doing so, check your downloads, cancel ongoing transfers when necessary and keep any regular files you wish to retain.
Public files and exports may remain in the chosen destination after uninstallation. Internal storage, including the private vault, is removed. For guidance on deletion and backups, see the storage section of the Privacy Policy.
10. Updates to these terms
These terms may be updated to reflect changes in features or legal requirements, with the new date shown on this page. Significant changes must be communicated appropriately. When the law requires specific agreement, it must be obtained before the corresponding condition is applied.
Changes do not remove rights already guaranteed by law or authorize new purposes for data processing without meeting the applicable requirements.
11. Governing law and resolving issues
These terms are interpreted under Brazilian law, while preserving mandatory rules applicable to the user. A provision that cannot be enforced does not affect the other valid conditions.
You may contact us to try to resolve questions or problems. This does not prevent access to protection bodies, authorities or the courts. Jurisdiction over any disputes will follow the law, including consumer protection rules, without imposing an exclusive forum or mandatory arbitration.
