The essential principle
TorrentDeck is a transfer and organization tool. Studio MWD does not operate a torrent catalog, search engine, or central hosting service. The app can seed files from your device. You are responsible for choosing your sources and for having permission to download, create, store, and share every file that you use.
Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of the TorrentDeck application, provided by Davi Santos da Silva, under the public-facing name Studio MWD, on Android and Windows. By installing, accessing, or using TorrentDeck, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. The Privacy Policy explains data processing; acceptance of these Terms does not replace any separately required privacy consent.
If you do not agree, do not use the application. Separate terms from the application store, operating system, internet provider, tracker operators, Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, and other services that you choose to use may also apply.
What TorrentDeck does
TorrentDeck is a BitTorrent client that allows users to:
- open magnet links and .torrent files;
- preview metadata and select files before starting a download;
- download and seed material through peer-to-peer connections;
- create torrents from files that the user owns or is authorized to distribute;
- group existing sources into organizational .tdeck packages; and
- manage queues, limits, network conditions, battery preferences, libraries, and storage destinations.
TorrentDeck does not operate a catalog, search engine, hosting service, proprietary tracker, cloud storage service, or distribution platform for third-party material. A .tdeck package organizes metadata and sources. It does not grant rights to any referenced files or convert unauthorized material into authorized material.
Eligibility and legal capacity
You must have the legal capacity to accept these Terms. Minors may use TorrentDeck only with authorization and supervision from a parent or legal guardian, and only in accordance with the store age rating, applicable law, and platform rules.
If you use TorrentDeck on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms and that the organization is responsible for the sources and files used through the application.
Permitted and responsible use
You may use TorrentDeck for lawful purposes, including to:
- transfer your own work, public-domain material, freely licensed material, or material that you are authorized to use;
- distribute software, media, and datasets when the applicable license permits it;
- perform backup, synchronization, or private distribution that does not violate rights or contractual restrictions;
- create .tdeck packages that reference only sources you may legally share; and
- test your own torrents and networks in environments that you control.
Before starting a transfer, check the source, license, and law that apply to the material. The presence of a file on the internet or in a swarm does not mean that its use is authorized.
Prohibited use
You must not use TorrentDeck to:
- infringe copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, privacy, data protection, or other rights;
- download, create, make available, or seed material without the required legal permission;
- distribute malware, ransomware, malicious code, or files designed to cause harm;
- exploit, harass, threaten, defraud, or harm people, networks, devices, or services;
- share another person’s personal data without a valid legal basis or appropriate permission;
- circumvent access controls, technical protection measures, sanctions, blocking orders, or court orders;
- interfere with networks, trackers, or peers, conduct attacks or abusive scans, or deliberately consume disproportionate resources;
- misrepresent the authorship or origin of a torrent or .tdeck package;
- use the TorrentDeck name or visual identity to falsely suggest endorsement, official status, or origin; or
- generate invalid advertising traffic, automate ad interactions, encourage accidental or artificial clicks, or interfere with ad delivery or measurement.
Content and third-party rights
You are responsible for all material that you choose, download, create, import, or seed. You must obtain and maintain all necessary licenses, consents, and permissions. TorrentDeck does not verify the ownership, legality, accuracy, safety, or quality of every source.
Metadata may contain file names, descriptions, trackers, websites, and authorship information supplied by third parties. Those fields are not legally verified statements of ownership. Do not rely on them as proof of a license, authenticity, or safety.
Nature and risks of P2P networks
BitTorrent connects your device to third parties. While metadata is being resolved, files are downloading, or material is being seeded, your IP address, port, info hash, client information, and transfer activity may be visible to peers, trackers, and distributed peer-discovery systems.
By using TorrentDeck, you acknowledge that:
- a public swarm does not provide inherent anonymity or confidentiality;
- files may be incomplete, altered, incorrectly named, or contain harmful code;
- transfers may consume mobile data, electricity, storage, and upload bandwidth;
- your provider or network administrator may apply separate limits, filtering, or rules; and
- peers and tracker operators are outside the TorrentDeck project’s control.
Use the available Wi-Fi, roaming, battery, speed, and seeding controls. Inspect files before opening them and do not execute material from an untrusted source.
Downloads can upload available file blocks to other peers before completion. Disabling seeding after completion does not disable uploads during an active download. Pause or end transfers when you no longer want them to continue. Android background activity also depends on operating system and device restrictions; a foreground service does not guarantee uninterrupted transfers when the device is locked or the app is closed.
.tdeck packages
The .tdeck format groups and organizes references to one or more BitTorrent sources. A package may include .torrent metadata and optional fields such as a description, author, and website. It does not include an implied license to access the referenced works.
When you create or share a .tdeck package, you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you include, the legitimacy of its sources, and the required rights. When you import a third-party package, treat its fields and links as untrusted input and review the preview before continuing.
Google AdMob advertising
Android includes Google AdMob interstitial advertising. Windows does not include AdMob. Ads may appear when opening download or package details, after adding a download, or after creating a torrent or .tdeck package, with at least one hour (60 minutes) between displays across these actions. The limit is saved locally and is preserved when the app is reopened. If no ad is ready, the action continues. Ad availability is not guaranteed.
Google provides ad delivery; the app does not integrate a separate advertising-network SDK or mediation adapter. Ads may be personalized, non-personalized, or limited depending on applicable privacy choices, region, and configuration. The Privacy Policy explains data processing, the consent flow, and how to revisit available ad privacy choices. Android also includes optional Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, each disabled for automatic reporting until you enable its independent choice in Settings > Usage and diagnostics. Refusing either option does not prevent use of the app; you can change those choices in Settings.
AdMob can process advertising and diagnostic data even when the optional Firebase choices are disabled. Changing usage statistics or crash reporting does not change advertising preferences. Accepting these Terms does not enable any optional collection or authorize personalized advertising.
You do not have to click an ad or make a purchase to use ordinary application controls. Full-screen ads can temporarily interrupt the interface and can be dismissed when the ad’s close control becomes available. Do not generate artificial impressions or clicks.
Advertisements and their destinations are provided by third parties. Display does not constitute endorsement of an advertiser, product, claim, or transaction. Review the advertiser’s terms and privacy practices before interacting or purchasing. This does not exclude responsibilities that applicable law places on TorrentDeck.
Third-party services, links, and components
TorrentDeck may interact with trackers, peers, website and installer hosting providers, application stores, operating systems, internet providers, and third-party software libraries. Android also interacts with Google AdMob, applicable advertising technology providers, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. Those parties operate under their own terms and policies.
Websites included in .tdeck packages or metadata are supplied by their respective authors. Displaying a link or ad in TorrentDeck does not constitute approval, verification, or a guarantee. The TorrentDeck project does not control third-party availability, security, content, or data practices.
Application updates and changes
The project may release bug fixes, security updates, compatibility changes, advertising support, or new features. Some versions may stop working on older systems or with discontinued protocols and services. You should keep TorrentDeck and your operating system up to date.
Downloads and updates are made available through official distribution channels and external services, which apply their own terms and privacy policies. Use the application store listing or installer links supplied by Studio MWD.
On Android and Windows, the app may check for new versions and display an update notice. Optional updates may be dismissed. A version marked as requiring an update may display a required-update dialog that cannot be dismissed through ordinary controls. Installation is handled separately by the operating system, installer, or application store; TorrentDeck does not silently install the update.
The project is not required to preserve a feature, platform, distribution format, ad-free status, or compatibility with third-party services indefinitely. When reasonably possible, changes that affect local data, privacy, or formats will be documented through an official project channel.
Application intellectual property
The TorrentDeck name, visual identity, documentation, and application code are protected under applicable law and the licenses that accompany each distribution or component. These Terms do not transfer trademarks, copyrights, or other rights beyond the limited permission necessary to use a legitimate copy of the application.
Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses. Material transferred by a user does not become TorrentDeck property, and the project does not claim ownership of your files or the packages that you create.
Warranties and availability
TorrentDeck is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the project does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free software, universal compatibility, peer availability, completion of downloads, continuous ad availability, or the safety and legality of third-party material or advertisements.
Nothing in this section excludes mandatory statutory warranties, rights under applicable consumer law, or protections that cannot legally be waived.
Limits of liability
You are responsible for your choice of content, storage destinations, network limits, seeding duration, backups, and security measures. To the extent permitted by law, the TorrentDeck project is not responsible for third-party conduct, swarm unavailability, malicious files, advertising claims, advertiser transactions, data loss caused by misuse, or legal consequences of accessing material without authorization.
These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded, including cases of intentional misconduct, gross negligence, breach of a mandatory legal duty, or non-waivable consumer rights. If you identify an application defect, stop the affected operation and report the problem through the official channel without including sensitive information.
Ending your use
You may stop using TorrentDeck at any time by stopping transfers and uninstalling the application. Files stored in public folders may remain after uninstallation and must be deleted separately. Windows application data also remains in the user’s private data folder. See Retention and deletion for the platform differences. Uninstalling does not withdraw data already sent to third parties or erase their records.
The project may discontinue versions or distribution channels. Because TorrentDeck does not require an account or operate a central download service, there is no TorrentDeck download account to suspend. Direct P2P activity remains subject to network participants, operators, and competent authorities.
Reports and content complaints
TorrentDeck does not host third-party files, magnet links, torrents, or packages and does not control swarms. The project therefore normally has no hosted copy that it can remove from a network. Complaints about material should be directed to the party that published or hosts it, relevant operators, and legally authorized channels.
Send technical support requests and reports of trademark misuse, security vulnerabilities, harmful advertising, or sensitive application issues to torrentdeck@studiomwd.com. Include only the information needed to describe the issue; additional details can be arranged privately.
Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated to reflect legal, technical, functional, or business changes, including changes to advertising, analytics or diagnostics. The effective version will display its “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be highlighted in TorrentDeck, the official website, or the distribution page. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
Changes do not waive mandatory consumer rights or retroactively authorize optional data processing. New privacy consent, when required, must be obtained separately as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Where reasonably possible, disputes should first be addressed through good-faith contact with the project. Any legally protected consumer venue, including the consumer’s place of residence where applicable, and any other mandatory jurisdiction remain available.
If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the maximum extent permitted. A delay in enforcing a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.
